Months…months and months and months.
That is how long it takes to research, design, build, program, test, program, test, program, test and call complete, the new PCS VacDry Kilns control panel.
Yay, now its time to finish writing the documentation. And the wiring diagrams/schematics. Hopefully before the shipping container arrives at its destination…

Database Solutions, Database Software Solutions - FileMaker
Last night, I was thinking of ways to manage data. I am surrounded by information, and my brain is woefully inadequate to manage, sort, store, provide quick and reliable access, etc etc etc…
I was envisioning this software, that easily managed my information, allowed me to detail it, describe how it was linked to other information, allow me to access my data from where ever I might be, allow me to see the big picture rather than drowning in a sea of details.
I got bored waiting for a file to transfer, and examined my Google Desktop Search bar for news clips, RSS feeds, etc etc and saw an item named FileMaker, Inc, from an RSS feed off of del.icio.us. Dunno why I clicked it, maybe the name was interesting.
Filemaker was what I was thinking of last night…except its not quite as free-form and creative/artistic as what I was envisioning. Maybe another four or five years…

…and I thought that it was just one of those wierd garage songs that sometimes make their way via word of mouth…and here I am, and I hear it floating on the breeze while Kelley watches Grey’s Anatomy (time delayed through the crack-cocaine style assistance of TiVo)…
Wierd.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Which leads me to the next thought :
I get an email, it has a joke. The joke and the title look suspiciously familiar. Turns out, it looks familiar because its posted on my blog, was read, emailed and then forwarded to me. Unfortunately its not an interesting seven degrees of separation, only one (one and a half?) degree (is that a degree of separation?).
To bring it all home:
The person who forwarded me the song also forwarded me the joke, and both items happened within a day or two of each other.
Yes, that was an event enough for me to spend time posting it.
One Degree of Separation, a play by Garrett Socling…

Ralph McHehee sez:
The CIA is not now nor has it ever been a central intelligence agency. It is the covert action arm of the President’s foreign policy advisers. In that capacity it overthrows or supports foreign governments while reporting “intelligence” justifying those activities. It shapes its intelligence, even in such critical areas as Soviet nuclear weapons capability, to support presidential policy. Disinformation is a large part of its covert action responsibility, and the American people are the primary target of its lies.

That, from a 25 year veteran of the agency…
