How well do you know the man ‘who invented the internet’?

I always sorta liked Al Gore. I liked him one hell of a lot better when he stopped pulling punches over the past couple years. He is finally calling it like it is, and I really respect him one hell of a lot more for it. I’d be all for a Gore/Dean, Gore/Fiengold, or hell, a Fiengold/Gore/Dean ticket…to quote:
Since his loss, Gore has undergone a resurrection of sorts, shrugging off the consultants and the caution that hampered him during the campaign and — aided by new distribution technologies — evolving into perhaps the most articulate, animated, and forceful critic of the Bush administration.
Thats laying it on a little thick (Dean and Feingold blast the administration pretty damn hard themselves), but I agree with the article in general…

That link is the response from the real ‘fathers’ of the internet regarding the media taking Al Gore out of context and blowing it up to make him look the fool. To quote:
Al Gore was the first political leader to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development. No one person or even small group of persons exclusively “invented” the Internet…but as the two people who designed the basic architecture and the core protocols that make the Internet work, we would like to acknowledge VP Gore’s contributions as a Congressman, Senator and as Vice President. No other elected official, to our knowledge, has made a greater contribution over a longer period of time.
Something else worth checking out:
TV…without the corporate cocksuckers man!
