Pollywogs!

Pollywogs!
A thought without words

You can do it!

April 4th, 2006

Again, just pushing, filling out webforms, sometimes writing letters to the editor, forwarding messages to friends, calling your representatives…those things DO make a difference!  There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions and tens of millions, hundreds of millions…there are a LOT of people out there who DO care about the same things you care about.
Delay wouldn’t have resigned if no one cared.  If no one filled out an online webform…if no one forwarded messages to friends, getting them involved…if no one cared!

Don’t stop.  Don’t stop being involved.  Don’t stop pushing.   Don’t stop caring.

Be involved!  The Internet makes it literally effortless!

A haiku

April 4th, 2006

My job is very…
…it pulls in all directions…
…but screw McDonalds!

I heard the guy on Quick Rock mention Haiku, and as I can barely concentrate on what I am doing as it is, decided to run with the distraction…

Here, I’ll try again….

The sun is shining
to be so bright and so cold
life is damn unfair

Del.icio.us…

April 4th, 2006

I can’t bend your arm from where I am sitting. I can’t harass and pester you. But, I can keep posting to my blog…

http://del.icio.us has another convert! Kelley broke down under intense pressure and has started using it. http://del.icio.us/ksocling

She wanted to get to her bookmarks from her computer at work on my laptop at home. I started snickering, and then said ‘delicious!’. Over the past few days I’ve gotten her on Firefox, and mentioned that Del.icio.us has a Firefox plugin, and she could get to her bookmarks from literally anywhere then. I did export her links to a file so she could use them that night, but I caught her this morning, she had created a Del.icio.us account! And installed the plugin for Firefox! And had tagged a bunch of her bookmarks! As I am fond of telling her ‘competence is sexy’…women are allowed to be competent and have initiative these days, right?

Yea, so if you have multiple computers, and like to keep track of things online, and want a better and easy way to manage it, with searching and descriptions and tagnames and have it all dynamically link realtime to other peoples tagnames…well, lets just say it is pretty cool and useful!

EDIT: Aha!  Its not just me!  I love the internet!  http://horsehater.blogspot.com/
