While most subjects answered correctly, many showed extreme discomfort, and a high proportion (33%) conformed to the erroneous majority view of the others in the room when there were at least three confederates present, even when the majority said (otherwise)…

I guess if his numbers sink below 33%, that means that the truth has gotten so overwhelming that no amount of spin and wishful thinking will help die-hard Republicans mantain their rapidly failing world-view…anyone who remains a Bush supporter is either mentally ill or a crook as well.

Pearl Jam on David Letterman tonight.  They played a free concert in Dave's studio after taping the two songs for the show.  Played for an hour.  Streamed live over the interweb.  I was hoping it was decent…except for a couple glitches in the stream, it was good enough to FUCKING ROCK.  I would have never guessed I could get the 'feel' of a live show like that…I'm amazed.  After listening for the hour, right there feeling like your watching from the front row, immersed (headphones are required equipment), both Kelley and I were amazed at how good the concert was.  

I can't fucking wait.   Right after the show, went to Red Mosquito and the official Pearl Jam forums, both crashed from the traffic.

So we went hiking today.  I'm fucking beat.  Got home around 5ish.  I'm drained.  We tried very hard to force our bodies to burn fat instead of sugar.  I think it worked well, but it was HELL.  We had a 170 calorie 'south beach' breakfast bar for breakfast, a 170 calorie 'candy bar' which was actually just fat and protein, and then a 'south beach' breakfast bar for lunch on the trail.  We were fine for the first 1/2 hour, the hour after that was our bodies telling us that we had to STOP PLEASE STOP I'M DYING YOU HAVE TO STOP.   We politely explained what was going on, and our bodies didn't give a fuck.  However, after pushing on, our bodies got the hint and started releasing some reserves so that we could continue climbing up the mountainside without passing out…

Instead of explaining the hike, please examine the flickr set.  I arrainged it by time taken, starting around oh 10:00AM and finishing around 4:30PM.  9.2 miles.  We thought we were pimp, but half the people in the register claimed around 5 hours for the trip.  We were wondering if they were carrying 25 pound packs too…
