Serve up a fresh dose of PA’s finest Ethanol for your hooptie?
October 20th, 2006http://www.autobloggreen.com/ has an article on an adapter from a Brazillian company that, if it works as promised, allows (practically) any vehicle to operate on E85.
The unit must ride between your O2 sensor and your ECU and intercept/deal with the difference in oxygen content of your exhaust dynamically to allow you to thoughtlessly pump anything from straight dino to straight corn. A neat idea. Apparently, some fuel pumps aren't kosher with Ethanol, and I imagine the odd vehicle has plastic or rubber bits which might not be compatible…but if it really is this easy WHY THE FUCK ISN'T EVERY GOD DAMN CAR IN THE USA CURRENTLY BUILT WITH NATIVE SUPPORT FOR ETHANOL? I mean, at least E85…if you build it, they will come…and yes, yes, yes…I know, Ethanol isn't the answer…but as the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a motherfucking day. Think about it.
