A widely ranging collection of topics…

November 12th, 2006

As it can only be seen from an outsiders perspective.

I had no idea that Rumsfeld and Bush Sr. were snake and mongoose.  Strange and fucked up people, its a rather long story but one worth reading…Bush, used by Cheney, Halliburton, Rumsfeld and the entire MIC: the perfect puppet…malleable, desiring approval, easily led, everyone with converging goals: Iraq.  Bush desiring Victory and Mission Accomplished, the MIC desiring quagmire…poor Bush, the low man on the totem pole, gets none of the benefit and all of the blame…congratulations figurehead, you've played your part well…Jesus…

This is worth a read too.  A little thinking outside the box.  A much shorter article that simply highlights the life lesson that when someone tells you something (whether it is the President, Osama or me), the first thing you should do is look behind the statement to the reason they told you.  What was their intent?  What was their desired effect?  Now, should you accept what they say at all, with a grain of salt, or like a blind soft-brained sheep?  (Hint: its never the sheep option, please!!!)

Its frightening how many people don't bother using their brains, who just accept what is presented to them as facts.  It reminds me of the story I posted earlier about the traffic lights:  presented with traffic lights, people sometimes make bad decisions because the effort and responsibility has been removed from them.  They simply go on green and stop on red, no thinking, no effort.  Roundabouts are safer due to the active involvement of the individual, responsible for their own and for others safety.  They have to look, think and decide whether they should go, they have to exercise that gray muscle behind their eyes.  Here is an interesting story which explores one facet of these poor animals' failure to use something besides emotion and feeling to guide their rational reality…apparently, given a choice between making $110,000 and your neighbors making $200,000, or $100,000 and your neighbors making $85,000, the majority of people pick the latter.  Defective by design?  Or is this something we can hope to teach and correct in the future?

Corporate profits are at record levels. The Dow, too, has climbed past its high- water mark from the dot- com era. Executives reap bigger and bigger paydays, even as wages have stagnated. Meanwhile, the widening investigation into stock-option backdating reminds us that the corporate malfeasance era was much more than just a couple of bad apples like Enron and WorldCom.

It seems almost unbelievable, then, that corporate America would pick this moment to beg for relaxed regulation and enforcement, as well as more protection from investors' lawsuits.

Yes, the corporate cocksuckers will stop at nothing to squeeze every last dollar from anyone they can.  Oh Mammon, how powerful you've become…

Insanity test:  Or, as they like to call it, a 'spirituality test'.  A small handful of the questions don't have a good answer, but the majority are very balanced.  I got a kick out of this, as I am a hardcore skeptic, thinking you could remap the results as such:

25 – 29
pre-psychotic episode– keep a sharp lookout against wishful thinking and your eyes on reality
30 – 39
mildly neurotic — you've succumbed to the god delusion, but there is still hope for your recovery
40 – 49
neurotic – you want and need god, but you probably dislike organized religion.
50 – 59
mildly psychotic – One foot in traditional religion, one foot in free-form spirituality…and neither foot in reality…
60 – 69
psychotic — you are happy with your delusions, and revel in your disconnect with observable reality
70 – 79
mild schizophrenia  – you have doubts about which Voice to believe, but you don't doubt one of them is god…
80 – 89
schizophrenia  – You have little doubt you’ve found the right path…
90 – 100
raging insanity – how did you get out of the institute?!?!

Hello, I am having a pre-psychotic episode…nice to meet you!  I need to stay on my medication to avoid those nasty delusions I was having, please don't give me anything sharp!  Hardcore skeptic just didn't seem to do justice to the notion of living and believing in a world where reality is right in front of you…whereas pre-psychotic episode seems to describe the hairline edge people seem to live on, where they just love indulging in the notion of god and religion without really putting any deep thought into their own personal daily real-world actions and intent…see the traffic light story, above, for a clue as to why I think that may be…and then you have people like Haggart…how can he really believe in god and heaven when he is doing crystal meth and cheating on his wife and family by butt-fucking (or getting butt-fucked, or whatever gay men do) a male prostitute?  Either he is insane (likely: it would explain how he could be a high-priest and a sodomite at the same time) or just a very good liar (also likely).

How about I derail your train of thought?  This is an interesting world meter or world counter.

And, if this isn't 100% awesome, I don't know what is…

Do you spell gray with an a or an e?  I always want to spell it with an e…spell check says that is wrong…spell check also says that gauge is misspelled (depending on the dictionary) and I know 100% that gauge is the correct spelling for an instrument that displays a measurement…apparently an English spelling that the Americans haven't made a final decision on…

What a bunch of great articles!

George W is a complete ass and should be sent straight to prison. He had something to prove to his daddy…well, the only thing he proved is that he is incapable of running this country.

I’ve heard enough about terrorists and all the scare tactics which come from the government…it is just ridiculous! No matter what, there are always going to be crazy people out there who do crazy things in the name of whatever and there is nothing we can do to stop them. George W provided us with a great example of this. He is one crazy motherfucker who is terrorizing Iraq and apparently has plans for Iran. Someone please tell me what the difference is between the “Terrorists” and King George W??? Killing is killing. No matter what defense you use or in what or whose name you kill for. A death is still a death.

People are greedy sons-o-bitches! Reading about the lady who wants a bigger house than the 2 million $ one she lives in now made me want to PUKE! Not out of envy but out of pure disgust for such blatant greed-consuming behavior. It is sad, quite sad that people feel this overwhelming need to keep up w/ the Jones’, all the while teaching their children that greed is a family value and that their worth in this world is dependent upon all that they own, and that happiness can and ought to be bought. Just sick!

Next time you find yourself feeling like you must or need to keep up with the Jones’ or you feel that you absolutely must have this, that or the other thing…think for a moment about how it’d be to live in a desperately poor village in a third world country. Living in a leaky shack, with a dirt floor, no bathroom, no running water, no clean water to even drink, etc. Ponder that for a few minutes then let me know if you still “NEED” that 2 million $ home!!!!!!

I’ve been using these thoughts to keep myself from being too greedy and to suppress these “needs” that I have…sometimes it works, sometimes not. Those good ole American “values” are hard to shake.

I rather enjoyed the insanity test…my goal is to never fall below a pre-psychotic episode.

The world meter almost made me hyperventilate!

    Go “V” go!!!

I usually spell it with an “e”.

    Time for lunch, I’m starving!
