Pollywogs!
A thought without words

Welcome to the end of the internet…

November 24th, 2006

I've run out of ideas.  I've read lots of things, thought lots of thoughts, but I currently feel topicless.  Nothing rises above the rest and stands out 'you should write about this'.

So, I'm requesting that you, my faithful reader, let me know what you'd like to see.  Think of something you'd like to read about, something that I've written in the past that you'd like me to follow up or expand on, something that you've always wondered about…something that I can search about on the web, look up some stuff, think and write about.  It can be mundane and trivial or pressing and relevant.  I'm not picky…post a comment or send me an email via garrettsocling at gmail dot com…

If (as I suspect) I don't get any suggestions, I was thinking of tracing the evolution of Santa/Satan over the past two thousand years, how they congealed out of myths and figures that had come before, etc etc…this being the time of year to begin the annual War on Christmas and all…

Happy Holidays!

    I object your honor!

I think this post contradicts the post before. If you enjoy writing so much, do it for the joy! Hell, the topic before this one was “I really enjoy writing”. I’m sure you’ve got some things up in that head of yours that are floating around. Why not write about those instead of about “something”. Let out the madness that’s inside.

Suggestions? You haven’t really written about the car in a while. Also, you did mention about a post for slab-a-hoe…pics included. You need to have pics of when she was younger and work them up to what she is today.

Just write to write. If not for some one that’s known you for about 20 years (if it hasn’t been that long already) then for the red dotters!

I want to write about something because I enjoy it, I’m just not sure what.

    Slab-a-hoe, I think, is better than slob-a-hoe…

Car…boring..slabahoe, moderately interesting…I’m leaning towards satan/santa and/or global warming. Maybe with some slobaslaba thrown in…

I agree with ozz. Write about what you want to write about. Someone will enjoy it. You seem to have interesting ideas in your brain most of the time.

The War on Christmas could bring about some debate so that might be interesting. Some of us still love Christmas you know. If nothing else, it gives us a reason to gather and appreciate loved ones. And it’s a nice distraction from all of the horror in the world. I know I need that once in a while.

I think you should continue to post interesting tidbits of info that we would otherwise not be aware of…just don’t make the post too long ;)

I like the 2 ideas, especially about global warming…it is a very important issue which many people seem ignore. I’m sure it would stir up an interesting debate.

I also like the Santa/Satan issue. We already know each others views on christmas but it would give us both the opportunity to express those views to the red-dotters, particularly the ones we know. Let the war on christmas begin!!!!

We don’t really need a “holiday” as an excuse to gather around with friends & family…..I don’t see it as a distraction at all, in fact I’d like to be distracted from christmas.

Sounds like you’re throwing a party a little before Christmas eh? The 23rd is a Saturday!

Personally, I don’t need a holiday as an excuse to spend time with loved ones, but I think that it gives people a reason to go out of their way to do it. Especially if you have family in other states. With the way the world works, it’s hard to get a whole family together; hard for everyone to take time off from serving the man. With holidays at least we are guaranteed that just about everyone will have a couple of days off at the same time. I do get stressed out at times with the rushing around to get everything done but I find it worth it in the end when everyone is spending time together and having fun. And Christmas trees and music and stuff cheer me up.
