I used to read those strident anti-drug websites the government (or whoever) puts together  (theantidrug.com) and they've always been pretty off-the wall in stating the most unbelievable bullshit they could find.  I had thought they'd toned down recently, but checking in today shows the same old bullshit errors involving causation and citing the most outrageous outdated and repudiated research.  If THIS (the American Definition) is marijuana dependence, it sounds as though the kids are willing to say whatever the doctors want them to say so mommy, daddy and mr. police officer don't cause any more grief than necessary…it sounds like a checklist of questions mr counselor asks and if you want to get this over with and get back to hanging out with your friends you better say yes and get through the program…THIS (the European Definition) is much more focused on an actual problem someone is having with their life (it sounds SO much more realistic), and should be treated as the serious condition it is…sounds like what I've read about hashish abusers in third world countries.
