Throw it away…
September 4th, 2007I found this very interesting: “After this time, color or flavor may be affected, but product is still generally safe to consume.” Processed peanut butter does have a shelf life! And coffee? It doesn’t have a’ generally safe to consume’, instead they have a quite clear line at ‘One Month’ (but it has to be refrigerated!).
Oh, and I can attest that steak sauce is generally safe to consume well past three years…
What about aspirin and ibuprofen?
And, a shelf-life for motor oil? I think they got it confused with brake fluid…sitting on a shelf is so mild and harmless to oil compared to the conditions it experiences inside an engine…and as far as expiring once opened, the little water it might pick up is burned out the first time it is finally used. Any oxidation or other effects from the little bit of air it might have been exposed to is insignificant to the abuse it sees in use…this one I’m calling shenanigans on, hopefully the other entries that I’m not as familiar with they were a little more accurate on…

Oh, I found that via a ‘StumbleUpon’ plugin for Firefox. Very convenient when actually going to reddit takes too much effort…it also found me this animation of deaths in Iraq that I found quite depressing as a person who gives a damn, and this site of guides on how to study, plan and learn that I found quite depressing as I wish I were the type of person to make use of it…
