"My name is Garrett and I deny the existance of the Holy Spirit”

November 24th, 2007

I read in the FFRF newsletter that the federal government gives religious institutions grants! Well, it has since Cunthead Bush and Dickhead Cheney have declared themselves dictators. Since 2002, they’ve given away over $600 MILLION of your tax money to god knows what loonies for god knows what purposes. $600 million to people expanding their God-given vision. To people combating homosexuality through Jesus. To strengthening marriage. To counseling against abortion. Because you know all of those religious types need huge piles of cash to continue the work Jesus started. So what if Jesus was so against this kind of shit he went around fucking shit up, what matters now is a steady stream of cash into the pockets of people who find the idea of god and jesus laugable, so laughable that they’d be glad to accept your donation to continue the good work from their good book…

Also found within the pages of the FFRF newsletter:

“I would probably have to say yes, that the Constition established the United States of America as a Christian nation. But I say that in the broadest sense. The lady that holds her lamp beside the golden door doesn’t say, “I only welcome Christians.” We welcome the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. But when they come here they know that they are in a nation founded on Christian priciples.” - John McCain

Uuum, I don’t know how to break this to you gently, Mr. McCain, but you don’t know what the fuck you are talking about. As usual. Allow me to insert this baseball bat into your rectum until it protrudes from your mouth. Like waterboarding, this is simply an enhanced technique (a learning technique in this case)…it certainly is not torture.

Since you obviously don’t know, let me ask you how many times God is mentioned in the Constitution? If you were establishing a new nation and wanted to found it as a Christian nation, it would be exceedingly easy to do so unequivocally. But those who founded our nation did the EXACT OPPOSITE. They clearly stated that the government should have nothing to do with religion, should pay no respect to any religion, should not enthrone a religion: that there should be a clear and distinct separation between church and state.

I know this is hard for cocksuckers and shitheads to wrap their head around, but it is the simple truth. Like evolution and the world being more than 10,000 years old, I know it ’sounds scary’, but the truth is the truth, and being an ignorant dumb ass isn’t going to change it. There is a time and a place for religion, and it had nothing to do with and is far far away from secular government.

Take these ignorant cunts for example: since there isn’t a shred of evidence supporting the idea that the USA was founded a Christian nation, they create evidence and take it on faith, just like they pretend to do every Sunday when they pass the collection plate around and expect you to do something with it. Since none of the paperwork support their case, they cherry pick the evidence and supply a quote from a speech as proof of their entire house of cards (oh, and Deists are Christian in only the loosest sense, if we’d like to get technical). Let me provide a slightly more insightful George Washington quote:

“I am persuaded, you will permit me to observe that the path of true piety is so plain as to require but little political direction. To this consideration we ought to ascribe the absence of any regulation, respecting religion, from the Magna-Charta of our country.
George Washington, responding to a group of clergymen who complained that the Constitution lacked mention of Jesus Christ, in 1789, Papers, Presidential Series, 4:274, the “Magna-Charta” here refers to the proposed United States Constitution”

Don’t worry, there are lots of Presidential candidates that don’t have a clue about this kind of thing. Mike “dumb shit” Huckabee thinks that ‘most’ of those who signed the Declaration of Independance were clergy. Must be like an ‘Al Qaeda in Iraq’ thing, as ‘most’ actually turns out to be ‘one’. Get off their backs, people, they are just proposing to lead the free world, look at what a good job George “born and raised in New England, but please don’t tell anyone” Bush has done at running things.

I feel safer already, knowing that the NSA has gone over this blog post with a fine toothed comb!

Hell, if it were up to me I’d say tax the bastards to high heaven and take the money out of the situation. It is obvious that money and power corrupts religious types more than most, let us ‘help them stay honest’ by making it absurdly expensive to collect money and even more difficult to spend that money.

Why can’t people believe in people? Why can’t people look for strength and growth and decency within themselves? Why do they need an old white haired father figure hold a rod in one hand and a carrot in the other? I guess I wouldn’t be so down on religion if it weren’t for the massive amounts of bloodshed, war and murder, torture, corruption, rape and sexual abuse, and terrible, terrible hypocrisy over the past TWO THOUSAND YEARS it is directly responsible for…

Can I get a Hell yea!?

Some say money is the root of all evil, but I’m leaning toward RELIGION being the root of all evil. Religion kills!

It is completely absurd and criminal that our fucked up government is giving grants to religious institutions…WTF????????

The ship is taking on water and it’s sinking fast!
